Frequently Asked Questions

Why does TapTicket need NFC permission?

TapTicket uses NFC to enable contactless event check-in. When you hold your iPhone near our TapTicket IoT check-in device at the event gate, the app reads a small NDEF payload from our hardware device that contains your encrypted ticket token. This lets you check in instantly without opening the app or scanning a QR code.

We only read NFC signals from our own TapTicket hardware — we never access your payment cards, transit cards, or any other NFC-enabled devices.

Which iPhone models support NFC check-in?

NFC scanning requires:

  • iPhone 7 or newer
  • iOS 14.0 or later

If your device doesn't support NFC, you can always use the manual code entry or QR code scan as a fallback.

How do I add my ticket to Apple Wallet?

After your ticket is distributed by the event organizer:

  • Open the ticket email you received
  • Tap "Add to Apple Wallet" button
  • Confirm in the Wallet dialog

Your ticket will appear in Apple Wallet and will automatically surface on your iPhone lock screen when you approach the event venue.

What NFC data is collected about me?

When your ticket is scanned via NFC at the gate, only the following is transmitted:

  • event_id — which event you're attending
  • auth_token — your unique 256-bit ticket token

No biometric data, location, payment information, or personal identifiers are ever read or stored via NFC. Scan logs are deleted within 90 days after the event. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

My NFC scan isn't working — what should I do?

Try these steps:

  • Ensure NFC is enabled in iPhone Settings → General → NFC
  • Hold the top of your iPhone (where the NFC antenna is) within 2–5 cm of the device
  • Remove thick phone cases that may block NFC signal
  • If the issue persists, tap "Enter Code Manually" and type your ticket ID

Can I use TapTicket without NFC?

Yes. TapTicket supports multiple check-in methods:

  • NFC tap (fastest — requires iPhone 7+ and iOS 14+)
  • QR code scan (available on any camera-equipped device)
  • Manual ticket code entry (always available as fallback)
How do I request deletion of my data?

Email tech@wonder.io.vn with subject "Data Deletion Request" and include your registered email address. We will process your request within 30 days and confirm deletion.
